This original frame design, handmade from mango wood, was created by Toula to give the piece an old world scripture feel. Each frame is individually hand carved with knots and other natural imperfections left as is... no two frames are alike! Finally, the frame is finished in teak oil which brings out the natural grain to a beautiful organic finish. As pictured here with "East Koi", this unique design is the perfect frame for the magic taoist diagram collection. Mango wood, discovered in Southeast Asia centuries ago, has also come to symbolize good fortune, safety and privilege for many cultures. |
